The situation in Gaza is catastrophic. Families are facing unimaginable loss, with over 45,885 lives claimed and more than 109,196 injured since October 7. Tragically, 70% of the injured are women and children. They are living without food, shelter, or safety. Hospitals are overwhelmed, and many injuries go untreated. There is no access to clean water or medical care.

In Bilad Al Shaam, refugee camps overflow with families fleeing the devastation. They are now trapped in overcrowded, harsh conditions where survival is a daily struggle. Food is in short supply, and many go days without eating. The spread of disease is widespread, as lack of clean water and medical care allows illnesses like pneumonia and cholera to take hold, claiming more lives.

As Ramadan approaches, the urgency intensifies. These families will be fasting with nothing to eat, struggling to survive during a time when we will be gathering for meals and Iftar feasts. They will be enduring extreme hunger, with no means of breaking their fast. This Ramadan will be unbearably difficult for them without our support.
